Clinical Supervision
As part of my MSc in Advanced Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies, I am currently completing my PG Cert in Clinical Supervision. I am looking to offer free supervision sessions to qualified counsellors and psychotherapists as I complete my BACP practice hours and portfolio
Supervision is a fundamental and imperative part of many professions within the health and social care world, and my own positive experiences of supervision within the NHS and as a counsellor and psychotherapist over the last 9 years drew me to begin my training as part of an MSc in September 2025.
I aim to cultivate a supervisory relationship based on collaborative enquiry and the Seven Eyed model of supervision, incorporating elements from my background in trauma responsive practice. You can read more about my approach, experience and qualifications below, and if you would like to have an introductory session to see how we might work together please contact me and we can set this up.
Supervision sessions between now and June are free, as I build on my experience and complete my BACP practice portfolio.

My training has focused on the Hawkins and Shohet Seven Eyed Model of Supervision, a transtheoretical, relational model. Two interlocking systems– the client work system (the client, the supervisee’s interventions, and the client-supervisee relationship), and the supervisory system (the supervisee, the supervisor, and the supervisory relationship) and the wider contexts of these two systems - form the seven eyes.
Over the last 4 years I have facilitated trauma responsive training for professionals as part of Scotland's national programme. I aim to bring the knowledge, skills and core values from this work to my approach in supervision. I have been involved in the development and delivery of several pieces of training which focus on reflective practice and the trauma informed principles of trust, safety, choice, collaboration and empowerment.
Research links the implementation of these principles within the supervisory relationship to an emotionally safe place for vulnerability, communication, and receptivity to non-critical feedback – which offer enhanced practice to benefit the client and a protective factor in counsellor burnout or secondary traumatic stress.
I also aim to work in a way that cultivates “collaborative enquiry” – a term to describe the supervisor and counsellor with equal influence, understanding what is happening within the counselling relationship and with the counsellor. I am interested in embodied and contemplative practices such as yoga, mindfulness and meditation and often incorporate this into my work with clients.

Please get in touch if you would like to know more, and I am happy to offer an initial session to see how we might work together, and answer any questions you might have
